Progressive Geographies
The aim of this blog is to present thoughts, research
and develop ideas that highlight and potentially progress economic and social reform.
Through such progress it is hoped that a more equal and just society may be
possible. The geographical viewpoint of the
blog comes from the focus on key geographic themes areal differentiation, creation
of place and human-environmental relations.
The blog will be critical when identifying and examining
existing patterns of inequalities, but equally will critically examine potential
answers. There are no easy answers to contemporary disparities and, often, solutions
may only be temporary and addressing symptoms that produce such patterns rather
than their underlying causes.
