Progressive Geographies

The aim of this blog is to present thoughts, research and develop ideas that highlight and potentially progress economic and social reform. Through such progress it is hoped that a more equal and just society may be possible.  The geographical viewpoint of the blog comes from the focus on key geographic themes areal differentiation, creation of place and human-environmental relations. 

The blog will be critical when identifying and examining existing patterns of inequalities, but equally will critically examine potential answers. There are no easy answers to contemporary disparities and, often, solutions may only be temporary and addressing symptoms that produce such patterns rather than their underlying causes.
